Who We Are
We are a high school robotics team from Franklin Academy in Wake Forest, NC. Our team consists of nine high school students and six coaches and mentors. We participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge, a worldwide robotics competition.
Our Mission
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote and share STEM within our community. This is accomplished by sharing our passion for robotics and engineering with younger students. We host events across the state where we teach and share our experiences with the next generation.
What We Do
What We Do
We design, build, and program a robot to complete a specific task. Each year a new game challenge is introduced for teams worldwide to design for. We also run an outreach program promoting FIRST and STEM to other teams, students, and adults within our community.
Our History
Our History
Fire On The Mountain was created in early 2023. Our coaches, Caleb and Cole were involved in FTC throughout high school, and they sought to build something that could have the same impact on others. After locating an outstanding group of students Fire On The Mountain was born. After several successful seasons, the team merged with the Franklin Academy Robotics Program to provide a more consistent recuriting base and a fully stocked robotics lab. The team has continued to be successful at Franklin Academy, and is looking forward to expanding our program and impact within our community.
